

Schools Competition

We recently ran an exciting curriculum-based expressive competition for Primary and Secondary school pupils across Torbay focused on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing.

This is part of the lead-up to The Baton of Hope event coming to Torbay on 30th September 2025.
Our competition will encourage learning about wellbeing, feature top prizes for students as well as being an opportunity for your pupils to showcase their talents and creativity publicly.

Expressive Arts Competition: Challenge students to produce expressive arts pieces, focused on one, some or all of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing:

Connecting

Being Active
-
Taking Notice
-
Keep Learning
-
Giving​
This topic has a strong evidence base and is designed to encourage positive mental health practices among students.
​
Suggested subjects who can get involved include:
-
Art – Paintings (A4 or A3) / Drawing (A4 or A3) / Sculptures (small)

English – Poems / Short stories (500 words)

Drama/Media studies – Short films (5 minutes) / Expressive Dance (5 minutes)

Music – Songs (5 minutes) / Music (5 minutes
The winners will be chosen by our three VIP judges with pieces displayed at the event:
