LGBTQ+ Take Over
Youngs Park in Paignton is being taken over by the LGBTQ+ community from 1pm - 3pm on the 30th September.

This wellbeing event is a live performance by Roberta Calamari and friends and is designed to promote positive mental health and suicide prevention within this community.

Why is this important?
Existing research suggests that LGBTQ+ communities are at a higher risk of suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts and self-harm compared to people who aren’t LGBTQ+.
​
In 2023, Samaritans responded to around 70,000 calls for help from people who spoke about gender identity or sexuality.
We believe in the power of community, compassion, and collective action. Together, we can make a difference, spread hope, and create a brighter future for everyone in The Bay.
